Day 4 : Tuesday

Time to try being a Caballo. Today I decided to try my hand at horseback riding. They took me out towards the Isla de Ixtapa on the northern part of the Ixatpa. Here I was introduced to a number of people from the good ol' USA. There was a couple from the North (Chicago), the East (Jersey), the South (Ft. Worth) and the West (me of course, from San Jose). Everyone had ridden a horse before, yes even me, so they lead us down to a secluded beach and let us go at our own pace.

Now the horse I had always wanted to be up with the leaders, so he would often break into a trot or gallop to stay up. I never bothered asking for the horses name as I figure he wasn't biliguile and my accent would have given me away. Anyways, my backside got bounced around a little more than I'd liked. Outside of that, my horse was fun to ride and well behaved. I even had him in a gallop for awhile. I started to lose my balance and decided to reined him in before I fell off and hurt myself.

Next I was supposed to go play golf. But when I arrived at the club house, I was treated poorly by the attendant. With the weather being miserably hot this day, I was in no mood to be treated like a "Norte Americano" with heaps of disgust smothered all over it. To heck with it, I don't want to play that bad. So I took back my money and walked back to go spend sometime in the pool.

This evening I've decided to eat in, using room service.

At 8pm I went down to the Royal Holiday Club (associated with RCI) member's party. It had an open bar, but once again, no one spoke english.

        Continue on to Day 5?
