Recently I had an opportunity to travel to Japan for Pixim Inc. to do some training for our Director of Business Development for Pixim International in Japan, Kumada-san. During the day of training, I also got an opportunity to visit Inokashira Koen (a local park) and spend a little time with Kumada-san's family. Kumada-san's son took it has his job to entertain me whenever I needed a break during our training session - I got to see just about every toy he had 8^). That evening, I had the good fortune to once again experience a Japanese style home cooked meal. Kumada-san's wife prepared a wonderful array of organic dishes that we devoured with gusto.

While in Japan, I got an invite to visit JVC's Hachioji Factory from Shibata-san. Shibata-san, and Takizawa-san, had visited the California earlier this year and I had the pleasure of hosting them for 2 of the 3 weeks they were in the USA. When they found out I was coming to Japan, they immediately wanted to return the favor while I was in Tokyo. Unfortunately, it was short trip, leaving me little time for being a tourist. My last night in Tokyo, JVC took us out to dinner at a very exclusive (membership required) dinner club on the 52nd floor of the Sumitomo Building in Shinjuku. The Escquire Club. From our "window" table, we had an incredible panoramic view of Tokyo at night. Talk about an upper-echelon experience. Even Shibata-san was impressed with our being invited to such an exclusive place. With only a saturday morning to spare, Shibata-san and Takizawa-san took me for a quick visit to Naritasan Shinshoji temple before we headed to the airport for my return trip to the USA.
